Former Holland international Frank Rijkaard has become the latest coach to express interest in taking over the reins of the Thailand national team. Rijkaard, who has long been a household name, has submitted his profile to the Football Association of Thailand and joined the lengthening list of those interested in the job of the national team coach. Rijkaard played for Ajax, Real Zaragoza and Milan and represented the Netherlands national team side 73 times, scoring 10 goals. In his managerial career, he has been at the helm of the Netherlands national team, Sparta Rotterdam, Barcelona and Galatasaray. Former national team coach Winfried Schaefer is also interested in staging a comeback, applying for the job he previously held for three years.
